2022-2023 Company Contract Company Contracts CONGRATULATIONS!! As a result of your hard work and dedication, you are invited to join the WEST COAST DANCE CONSERVATORY’S COMPANY! We are looking forward to a great year and we are extremely excited to be working with you. This contract describes the activities of the COMPANY this year and includes the expected responsibilities of the dancers, parents, and the studio. To participate in Company, this contract must be signed by both the dancer and at least one parent. Please read through the contract carefully, and make sure you understand and agree to these commitments before signing. If you have any questions, please email the Company Director, Angela Holmes. Dancers Name (Last, First) * Guardians Name (Last, First) * COMMUNICATION POLICY: West Coast Dance Conservatory makes every effort to keep all parents well-informed regarding all issues of the Company. Our primary source of communication will be email, so please check it often. * I Agree with the Communication Policy COMPANY REQUIREMENTS All COMPANY members are required to take a their assigned leveled ballet class, jazz class, and company rehearsal class weekly in-person. The dancers are also required to select an additional style class (Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical/Contemporary, or Modern) to attend throughout the year to diversify their training. Company Teams & Fall class placements have been sent out via email. Company Dancers will be automatically enrolled in their Company Rehearsal, Ballet, and Jazz class for the 2022-2023 Season. The credit card on file will be charged to reserve the dancers spot in the class on the day registration opens. The Parent/Gaurdian must register the dancer separately for their additional class. During the weekly Company Rehearsal the dancers will rehearse a Jazz and Lyrical/Contemporary dance that will be performed throughout the season. * I Agree with the Company Requirements WEEKLY REHEARSALS POLICY: Rehearsals begin the week of September 6, 2022. There are no make-ups for COMPANY rehearsals and you are responsible for any material you missed. If a student must miss a class due to illness or other emergencies, it is the family's responsibility to notify the studio via email. Any scheduled absence (i.e. vacation, etc.) should be emailed to the director as soon as the parent/student is aware of the possibility and would be preferred no less than two weeks prior to the event. Should an injury occur, attendance to class is still required so notes can be taken; observing class is still very helpful! Injuries or illnesses do not preclude you from fulfilling your yearly contractual/financial obligations to WCDC. Dancers are required to attend all classes and rehearsals the week of any competitions/performances. If you miss any of the two rehearsals immediately prior to a performance you will NOT participate in that particular event. * I Agree with the Weekly Rehearsal Policy SUMMER DANCE REQUIREMENTS: All company dancers are required to register for a 1 Week Dance Camp or Ballet twice a week & Jazz during the 6 Weeks Summer Session. It is important for the dancers training to continue throughout the Summer to prevent any dance related injuries in the Fall. * I Agree to the Summer Dance Requirements COMPANY COSTUME: Fee: $225 - Due August 1, 2022 (This fee covers the cost of two costumes) * I Agree to the Costume Fee TEAM MERCHANDISE Policy: West Coast Dance Conservatory requires ALL company dancers to purchase a company jacket. It is mandatory for every dancer to wear studio apparel during award ceremonies or any time the group is together for events. The company jacket fee is $135 and is due on August 1, 2022. * Yes, I need a Jacket & I Agree to the Team Merchandise Policy I do NOT need a jacket (I have a jacket from the 2021-2022 Season) COMPANY EVENTS POLICY * COMPANY EVENTS (REQUIRED): The COMPANY Dancers are required to attend the Company Choreography Workshop, Company Photoshoot, 2 Dance Convention, 3- 4 Dance Competitions, as well as additional performances throughout the year. We will do our best to provide at least 1 month’s notice if there are any changes to the schedule, including participation in additional performances not listed. Parents must provide or arrange dancers’ transportation to and from events. The 2022-2023 Schedule will be released in September. TBA: Company Choreography Workshop: $250 (Due July 1, 2021) TBA: Company Photoshoot: $135 Company Dancers will have their own styled photoshoot and receive digital files of dance pose and headshot. TBA: December (Dates TBA): Holiday Performance TBA: 3-4 Competitions: $155 Per Competition (Due 90 Days Before the Competition/Includes 2 group entries) TBA: 1 Convention: $305 Per Convention (Due 90 Days Before the Convention) I agree to to paying all fees for your dancer’s competitions, workshop fees, photoshoot fees, convention fees, costumes, choreography fees, tuition, private fees and all fees associated with being on a competition team. All fees paid are NON-REFUNDABLE and are not negotiable. If, after you commit to dances you decide to drop for any reason, you will be subject to a $200 additional charges for re-choreography, re-staging, etc. * I Agree to the Company Events Policy COMPANY COMMITMENT AND PERSONAL BEHAVIOR POLICY - Arrive at rehearsals on time, and ready to dance throughout the entire session. - Concentrate on dance during rehearsal, and practice dances in between rehearsals. -Offer kindness and respect toward all dancers and teachers. -Contribute to a positive, supportive environment for COMPANY members. -Respect the studio property, equipment, etc. at all times. -Dancers MUST clean up after themselves with regard to food and drink. -Students, parents, and staff will maintain sportsmanlike attitudes at all times. * I Agree to the Company Commitment and Behavior Policy CLASSES/PRACTICE POLICY: Training Outside Of WCDC Dance classes at any facility other than West Coast Dance Conservatory is strictly prohibited without prior consent and may cause dismissal from the WCDC Company. * I Agree to the Classes/Practice Policy WCDC will be offering additional performing opportunities to the dancers for the 2022-2023 competition season. Let us know below which opportunities your dancer would like to be considered for during the 2022-2023 Season. The prices below reflect a one time “choreography fee” which includes 4 hours of private lessons. There will be a $125 costume fee and additional monthly fees of $75 for the weekly dedicated class-time to rehearse each specialty dance. More information will be sent out later after we have determined which dancers are interested in additional specialty dances. * Solo: $600 Per Solo Duet: $375 Per Dancer Trio: $350 Per Dancer Small Group: $325 Per Dancer No Additional Dances AGREEMENT I have thoroughly read the information contained in this Contract. I understand that failure to comply with the rules, regulations, and policies stated in this contract will result in reprimand and/or dismissal from the WCDC Company. I agree to attend all required classes, rehearsals, performances and competitions and to all other terms set forth in this handbook. I understand and will adhere to all the payment guidelines in this handbook and agree that there are no refunds or credits for monies received and agree to provide personal and financial support as part of being on the West Coast Dance Conservatory Company. I understand that West Coast Dance Conservatory will not be held responsible for any decisions made by competitions, staff or other dance related venues. I understand and acknowledge that there are certain inherent risks associated with activities and that personal injury or damage to property may result during participation in such activities, whether conducted on WCDC premises or off. I agree to assume all risks associated with my child’s participation in dance and related activities at West Coast Dance Conservatory’s facility. I understand that I am signing a contractual agreement to be a member of the West Coast Dance Conservator’s Company for the 2022-2023 season.
