Dear Parents and Dancers,
We are moving into a very important part of the year. Class attendance is very crucial at this point to ensure the dancers are prepared and ready to shine on stage at the June 12th performance “On Broadway”.
PLEASE READ ALL of the following information (which can also be found on our website under the “PERFORMANCE” tab at www.westcoastdanceconservatory.com).
1. COSTUME DISTRIBUTION WEEK: May 2-7, 2016
Dancers will receive their costumes in classes the week of May 2nd.
NOTE: We encourage parents of dancers in the Creative Movement, Combo Class or Pre-Level classes to attend the last 15 minutes of class to receive the costume.
If your child is NOT participating in the June 12th performance (and not receiving a costume) we suggest that the parents pick up their dancer 15 minutes early from class.
2. IN STUDIO REHEARSAL: Saturday, May 14, 2016
No costumes are required for this rehearsal. The “In Studio Rehearsal” will be held at West Coast Dance Conservatory. Dancers should be in class attire with proper hair and shoes pertinent to their class dance. Although parents are welcome to come and watch our “studio-run-through”, space is limited and therefore only 1 parent/guardian will be allowed upstairs during rehearsal.
There are no regularly scheduled classes on Saturday, May 14, 2016.

3. BACKSTAGE ANGEL MEETING AT 3:00 PM: May 21, 2016
The Backstage Angels meeting will be on Saturday, May 21st at 3:00 pm at West Coast Dance Conservatory.
If there are too many volunteers for one class, some may be asked to work with children from another class.
NOTE: All “Backstage Angels” will be able to accompany their children backstage and watch their performance. It is a special and magical experience for both the dancers and the “Backstage Angels”.

4. PICTURE DAY: Sunday, May 22, 2016
Pictures will be taken at West Coast Dance Conservatory on May 22nd. Students will have group and individual photos at a scheduled time depending on their class. The schedule is included below and can be found on our website: https://www.westcoastdanceconservatory.com/picture-day-schedule/.
Dancers must arrive 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO “CLASS TIME” BELOW and MUST be IN COMPLETE COSTUME (tights, costume, hair, and make-up). The photographer is on a tight schedule and will not be able wait on those who are late. Please make sure all dancers arrive ready to go.

5. DRESS REHEARSAL: June 11, 2016
DRESS REHEARSAL IS MANDATORY FOR ALL DANCERS at Bayside Performing Arts Center on June 11th. All Dancers AND “Backstage Angels” will meet in the auditorium for the Dress Rehearsal and sit with their class. Dancers must arrive in full costume (including hair & makeup.)

NOTE: Dancers that perform in both shows are invited to stay at theatre for a picnic between the 1 pm and 4:30 performance in the courtyard.
7. TICKET SALES
Families of West Coast Dance Conservatory, this year we are offering a new service for our June 12th performance “On Broadway”, making your ticket purchases as convenient as possible for you! Ticket sales will be ONLINE only; tickets will not be available at the front desk. “On Broadway” ticket sales will be available online starting May 1, 2016. No need to wait in line at the studio to purchase! The pre-sale for “Backstage Angels” begins 1 day prior to general sales date (April 30, 2016).
NOTE: Seats ARE ASSIGNED; however, they can be selected on a first-come-first-serve basis. When selecting seats, please be aware that the stage is always at the top. To see relation to stage for a particular section, scroll down & look at artist’s rendering of the entire auditorium.

Make sure to select the proper show time or cast your dancer is performing in. We have 2 performances 1 pm AND 4:30 pm. Please pay special attention to studio communications about your child’s cast to ensure you purchase the correct show time! Share this link with family and friends to purchase tickets to our wonderful performance and support our students! You may also share your purchase on Facebook. You will be prompted online following your purchase.
Once your order is complete, you will receive an email confirmation from ShOvation with a link to print your tickets at home (similar to an airline boarding pass).
Please be certain to print your tickets and take them with you to the show for admission!
Tickets are on sale online through the day of the performance, June 12, 2016. We highly recommend purchasing and printing your tickets at home prior to the performance. This helps our ushers admit you into the theater as quickly and efficiently as possible and prevents standing in line at will call the day of the show! Patrons who forget to bring their tickets to the show will need to check in at WILL CALL in the lobby to validate their ticket purchase. If you require will call services, please arrive 30-45 minutes prior to show time. Will Call means to pick up your tickets at the theater on the day of the show.
All patrons purchasing their tickets will receive an email confirmation of their entire ticket order. Make sure to enter all billing information correctly: zip code, mailing address and email address to ensure your order processes correctly. An accurate email address is necessary for email receipts.
8. PERFORMANCE UPDATES
Make it your responsibility to keep updated with all the important information. It is our goal to make the performance experience organized and exciting for all involved. It’s a team effort; students, parents, teachers, and the director are key players in the success of the show.
